If you’re anything like us, you love to be the first person with access to the latest and greatest tools and features. We’re always working hard to improve our product, which is why we came up with QuickBooks® Online Labs. This gives us a way to quickly make our test features available to the public and gather feedback from you, so that we’re continually making our product better.
Not all of these features will make it into the final product, so make sure that you hit that feedback button. Your input is crucial in determining which of these new features and functions make the final cut.
One of the projects our team is working on is redesigning the harmonized reports that show your clients their profit and loss (income statement), detailed account transactions and their balance sheets. Stay tuned for additional, easy-to-use customizations that will let you demonstrate your services as a pro with just a few clicks.
Save time when invoicing with our Autocomplete Widget, which will make setting up new vendors and customers a breeze. All you have to do is fill out the name and, thanks to publicly available data, we will find the rest, including their address, phone number, website tax ID and more. This nifty feature lets you spend less time managing the business operations and more time servicing your clients.
Communication is key in any business; Intuit’s® Commerce Network makes it easier for you to reach out to prospective clients, current clients and vendors. Invite them to your Commerce Network and QuickBooks will automatically notify you when they’ve changed their contact information – which means no more missed invoices or wondering if your letters went to the right location. In addition, satisfied customers can endorse your business, so tap into the power of word of mouth, making it easier for others to find you. This feature will work both ways, since you can find recommended services from trustworthy sources.
Wouldn’t it be great if you didn’t have to craft a custom-designed template for every client? Thanks to our Company Templates add-on, you don’t have to. Since we make it easy to save your settings from one company and apply it to another, you only create your template one time. The system will save your template’s Chart of Accounts, Products and Services, and Company Settings, and allow you to easily modify them to suit your new client, without affecting the original. Make your templates a standard by sharing them with other accountants in your firm or other QuickBooks users. But, don’t worry; if you choose to make your template public, no personal information will be shared.

Make working on the computer easier on your eyes with our new Collapsible Left Navigation feature. Stare at less text on the screen by easily clicking on the arrow button on the navigation menu, and then bring the navigation back when you need it by simply clicking the same button.
